Population in Naples
2005 Report indicates the county population is 307,242

Ask anyone if they think Naples Florida Real Estate is high priced and the answer is almost always "yes".  However, in actuality, Naples properties are much lower priced than many other popular communities around the country.  Buying property along the beautiful gulf coast can be quite exhilarating for the first time buyer if he uses an experienced Realtor.

2005 report....
Collier County, Florida continues to be one of the faster growing areas in the country.  The population grew by 55,865 from 2000 to 2005 which is a 22.2% increase to a total of 307,242.

The Marco Island Community Development Director thinks the report might be on the light side.  The report shows the Marco Island count to be 14,782.  The 2000 Census Report showed Marco Island to have a population of 14,879.  Everyone agrees that Marco has grown quite a bit since 2000, so possibly the new study is on the low side.

The Report shows the city of Naples at 22,343 and Everglades City at only 522.

Most of us that reside here in Naples are not actually inside the city limits.  If you exclude the actual City of Naples, Marco Island, Immokalee and Everglades City, etc., you will find that approximately 230,000 +/- residents live in the immediate areas just outside the city limits.  During the winter months, the county population grows by as much as another 100,000 residents, bringing the winter population to almost 410,000 including the snowbirds.
