The Myth about Naples Real Estate Prices

The Naples Real Estate market is cooling off.  Homes and condos are still selling,
but not at a break-neck pace any longer.  Business has gone back to the pace of 2000.

2005 Population in Collier County stands at 307,242. 

Physicians Regional Medical Center has replaced the Cleveland Clinic on Pine Ridge Rd. near the Vineyards.

A bear was spotted in Regent Park in North Naples.

If you exclude new construction, existing property values for all homes and condos increased 22% in 2005.

$100 Million Land Deal...  Over 70 parcels of Naples area real estate adding up to over 2,000 acres located near the Florida Sports Park, just east of Collier Blvd. have been acquired by a branch of Toll Brothers.  Conceptual plans include residential, commercial and 100 acres for a college.  

The new mid-field terminal at the Southwest Regional Airport is now open and it is a great facility.  To drop people off for departures, you now drive up to an upper level location.  To pick up arrivals, you will drive to a lower level location at the baggage claim.  This separation should really make it easier for traffic to flow smoothly.  There is a parking garage for short term parking adjacent to the terminal.  Long term parking is just beyond the parking garage and they have shuttles in the parking lot to take you to the terminal.

Nordstroms is coming to the Waterside Shops - opening planned in 2007.

The Naples Community Hospital is now one of only 17 hospitals in the country to have the new $3.2 million CyberKnife at it's Cancer Center.  The new technology allows the machine to destroy benign or malignant tumors while the patient skips surgery. 

HealthGrades, an independent quality healthcare rating service has ranked Naples Community Hospital in the Top 5% of all hospitals nationally for its heart care program.  In the Fall of 2003, MONEY magazine named the hospital as one of America's Top Hospitals in Coronary Bypass Surgery and Valve Replacement Surgery.
